Panel of Arbitrators

The IQSK maintains a Panel of Arbitrators appointed from within the membership of the IQSK. The panel is composed of distinguished and experienced members of the institute. Their services include arbitration in disputes between members of the society, disputes between members of the society and their clients, and any disputes involving matters related to quantity surveying that may involve members of the public who are not part of IQSK.

The arbitrators are appointed by the IQSK Council upon application.

To be included in the IQSK Panel of Arbitrators, kindly note the below list of requirements:-

1. Submit your certificate of registration and that of good standing from the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Kenya Branch (CIArb)
2. Hold, as a minimum, Member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) , a Higher National Diploma or equivalent in a field related to Building Economics;
3. Be a Fellow or Professional  or Licentiate Member of IQSK in Good Standing;
4.  Be Kenyan citizens (attach copy of ID or Passport);
5. Have at least ten (10) years’ practical experience in the construction
   industry.
6. Demonstrate significant understanding and experience in matters
   related to contract administration in the construction industry;
7. Demonstrate service to and active engagement in the activities of
   the Institute;
8. Have excellent communication skills;
9. An application cover letter stating good grounds on why you should be considered,
10. Detailed curriculum vitae,
11. Copies of certificates and testimonials.
