a) How do I become a member of the Sacco?
You can join the Sacco by downloading and filling the membership form available on the website. Attach your passport photo, copy of your ID and copy of your KRA pin.
b) Am I eligible to join the Sacco?
You are eligible to join if you are a member of IQSK or stakeholder in the built environment industry.
c) Is there a minimum monthly contribution?
Yes. The minimum contribution is Kshs 2,000.
d) What is share capital?
Share capital is the shareholding that every member must hold with the Sacco. Every member shall hold at least 100 shares of Kshs 100 each = Kshs 10,000 or as shall be fixed in the General meeting.
e) Is share capital Refundable?
The share capital is non-refundable but transferable to an existing Sacco member or to a new Sacco member.
f) What is the difference between share capital and deposits?
Deposits are the monthly contributions a member pay towards the Sacco that determine loan eligibility.
Share capital represents a unit of ownership which a member contributes to partly own the Sacco. Share capital is non – refundable and cannot be withdrawn even on exit from the Sacco but can be transferred to another member of the Sacco.
g) How do I make payments for share capital and monthly contribution?
Through Mpesa pay bill , bank standing order or cheques.
h) How do I terminate my membership from the Sacco?
A member may at any time withdraw from the society by giving at least sixty (60) days written notice to the committee.
